SAMBAL CLAM IKAN BILIS FRIED BEE HOON ©





Bee Hoon (rice flour noodles) fried with Sambal with Clam and Ikan Bilis(anchovies) is another home-style recipe. Sambal fried noodles can be prepared in any styles with any kinds of condiments. Creativity is one important element in creating new luscious, savory noodles dishes. 

  

Ingredients and Preparation for 4


Prepare 1/2 lb clam and 1/4 lb Ikan Bilis (anchovies)
Prepare finely chopped 5 garlics cloves, 5 pcs chilli, small size onions, small pcs ginger. Preferably grate or blend the above ingredients.









Prepare by soaking Bee Hoon (Vermicilli) (rice flour noodles) in room temperature water until soft, and drained.



Cooking Steps 


Begin, by saute Ikan Bilis (anchovies) in 7 tbs cooking oil in medium heat until golden brown. Discard used oil.
 Next, saute processed or chopped onions, chilli, ginger, garlic in 7 tbs cooking oil over medium heat until fragrant.
Add sauteed Ikan Bilis to the fried ingredients. Stir briefly.

For flavor, add:-

  • 5 tbs fish sauce, 
  • 3 tbs chicken stock granules, 
  • 1 tbs pepper. 


Stir seasonings into ingredients well.
 Add clam into the cooked ingredients, combine well and stir briefly.
Add Bee Hoon to cooked ingredients. Combine well and continue to stir-fry until all the cooked ingredients and gravy has blended well with the Bee Hoon.
Sambal Clam Ikan Bilis fried Bee Hoon nicely cooked and flavorsome.
Ready for serving.
